BRASHER CHAIN BOA

The Brasher Chain Boa was produced here in June 2005 from the first ever breeding of the Brasher BloodRed Hypo Het Albino x Brasher BloodRed Hypo Het Albino resulting in the chain pattern. At this stage it is presumed  that this will prove to be a new morph, but we do look with excitement to the future possibilities.

Open-linked and closed-linked with both connecting and unconnected were produced in half of this clutch leaning more toward the possibility of a co-dom gene but could just as well be a recessive gene. A sunglow close-link connected Chain was also produced. Unfortunately, it did not survive. One thing that was very interesting was a still-born solid white snake with white eyes and black pupils was produced with barely visible yellow markings on the tail only. There is NO anery in this line. Something very interesting is going on with the BloodRed line!

Breeding trials will begin in the 2007-2008 season. A Chain male will be bred to the matriarch followed by a Chain-to-Chain breeding as well as a Chain-to-normal breeding.
