Brasher BloodRed Hypo
Redder Is
Better

The Brasher BloodRed Hypo Line is of European descent and is unrelated to any known U.S. lineage of animals. This animal is not to be confused with the Central American blood boa as this animal has not been bred into the Brasher BloodRed Hypo line, however this is a possibility on the horizon. I bought this male at a local show because he had a nice over all orange coloration . As time past the animal became a true "freak of nature" As each year past he became darker and darker red. This animal however did not want to breed . I tried him every year and finally at 7 years of age he bred a nice coral female and I got a very small clutch of BBRH het albinos . Shortly after the breeding the male died . This was of course a terrible blow but I did get the babies . One very interesting and valuable aspect of the original male is the animal never "muddied" up as most hypos do. The 2004 -2005 season we bred a Brasher BloodRed Hypo Het for Albino to another B.B.R.H Het for Albino resulting in seven chain pattern boas of varying degree, a.k.a., the Brasher Chain Boa, as well as the first Brasher BloodRed Sunglow .BlThere was also a still born solid white patternless boa with white eyes and black pupils with a very slight trace of yellow on the tail .This was almost a leucistic boa, sad I know . I know of no other hypo line that in an F1 X F1 breeding has produced such variety in a single clutch ,one can only imagine whats next. We are very excited to see what the future holds for the presumed co-dom Chain morph. Who knows there may be a Super Chain in the cards .Perhaps a leucistic will be produced . Currently, we are breeding this strain into our other morphs . The Brasher BloodRed Hypo is truly a beautiful and unique component to our efforts in producing investment quality living art .
